The McRae Wood Shiraz
Wine
Jim Barry The McRae Wood Shiraz is named after Duncan McRae Wood, who in 1964 sold Jim and Nancy Barry the land that would become their first Shiraz vineyard.
The wine is made with grapes declassified from Jim Barry's flagship The Armagh, as well as parcels from winery's other Clare Valley vineyards. Post ferment, the wine matures in French oak.
Deep dark red, Jim Barry The McRae Wood Shiraz has black forest fruit flavours with a long, spicy finish. Cellaring potential is 15 years.
